U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that she will hold her first “U.S. Service Academy Information Forum” for high school students interested in attending the nation’s prestigious service academies. The freshman Congresswoman had scheduled her first academy forum in October of last year, but the event had to be cancelled due to the 2013 shutdown of the federal government.

Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) invites students interested in learning more about our nation’s esteemed military academies to attend the North Texas U.S. Service Academies Forum on Saturday. Marchant is co-sponsoring the free event with Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Senator John Cornyn, Congressman Sam Johnson, Congressman Jeb Hensarling, Congressman Joe Barton, Congressman Michael Burgess, Congresswoman Kay Granger, Congressman Bill Flores, and Congressman Pete Sessions. Next weekend, I will be joining my North Texas congressional colleagues as well as Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz in hosting the North Texas U.S. Service Academy Forum. (jordan:) panhandle congressman mac thornberry was back in town today to talk about military service. he hosted a service academy forum at the texas air and space musuem at the airport. the free event was designed for high school students who would like to pursue an education at one of the united states service academys.Service academy forums has moderators who also are regular praticipants. That doens't make their advice any better/worse then what others might offer. In an online forum you have to remember that most participants are anonymous and you have to decide for yourself who knows what they are talking about vs those who like to SOUND like they do.

North Texas U.S. Service Academies Forum - Kenny Marchant

On Saturday, September 15th at 2:00 p.m., U.S. Congressman Sam Johnson (TX-03) will host his annual Service Academy Forum for young people and their families interested in pursuing an education at one of the nation’s prestigious service academies.

The 2015 North Texas U.S. Service Academies Forum will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Lewisville High School.

This year the forum will be held on Saturday, April 5th from 8am - 12pm at Mountain View College, located at 4849 W. Illinois Avenue in Dallas. Registration begins at 7:30am. This event is free and open to the public. On September 12, 2015, I hosted my annual Service Academy Forum for students who were interested in pursuing an academy education. This free informational event is always open to students of any age wanting to learn about the process. Parents, educators and counselors are welcome as well.
