The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at ASU recently welcomed the second cohort of scholars from Sub-Saharan Africa for the fall 2013 semester. These scholars, who come from economically disadvantaged communities, are committed to returning to their home after completing a bachelor’s degree to contribute to their countries by becoming leaders in social change and economic growth.The ASU Foundation for a New American University and The MasterCard Foundation are pleased to announce the availability of The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at ASU. ASU’s International Student Engagement and The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at ASU are looking for a full-time coordinator. As their primary function, the Coordinator provides direct service and support to The MasterCard Scholars Program participants while simultaneously integrating the scholars into the greater institutional community. The Coordinator also supports the institutional efforts to encourage international student engagement on a university-wide level as they initiate, plan, manage, coordinate, attend and participate in university programs and activities that contribute to high levels of student engagement and multi-faceted Sun Devil experience for all international students on all four ASU campuses.
